Tacos With Salsa Verde Sauce & Marinade

INGREDIENTS:

  • HEROICA! Salsa Verde Superfood Sauce & Marinade
  • 4 Cassava or organic corn tortillas. You can also use butterleaf lettuce as a tortilla.
  • 1 lb of meat. You can use flank steak (organic and grass-fed), organic chicken, wild fish, or organic mushrooms
  • Extra virgin olive oil for sauteeing
  • Garlic powder for seasoning
  • Sea salt for seasoning
  • 2 Limes for marinating and for serving
  • Cilantro for garnishing
  • Red cabbage, roughly chopped, for garnish
  • Avocado slices for serving

PROCEDURE:

Marinade

  1. In a small bowl mix 1 freshly squeezed lime, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of sea salt.
  2. Place the meat in a large bowl and cover it with the mix from above.
  3. Heat a cast iron pan over medium heat. When hot, add EV Olive Oil and let it heat for a few seconds, then add the marinated meat or vegetables. 
  4. Cook until the right finish depending on which meat you are using.
  5. When done, cut the meat or vegetables into small pieces.
  6. Serve over a warm tortilla or a fresh lettuce wrap.
  7. Add avocado.
  8. Top it off with HEROICA Salsa verde, chopped cilantro, and red cabbage.
